The first one was the game that got me into the sport itself. I was 8 years old, and my father decided to bring me up north to Minnesota to visit some family up there. That’s where he grew up and he went to college at the University of North Dakota. They’re one of the “power-houses” in college hockey. He decided it’d be nice to bring me to some games with him and my uncle. Trust me, it was a great decision. They play at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I believe it’s one of the best arenas to play in. The environment was amazing. Being a little kid and seeing all the action, hearing all the noise, it just brought me in and didn’t want to let go. The crowd would constantly chant to pickup the morale of the team. I would try to join in and immerse myself into the crowd and the I was once willing to give my life for what this country stood for now i’d give my life to protect my family from what this country has become T shirt. It was so much fun that on the flight back, I asked my dad if I could play hockey. The next week, I was signed up and I haven’t stopped since.

I’m from eastern CT and I personally love bright nights located in Springfield Massachusetts. Hockey games and basketball games are fun to attend. But ultimately December here in New England December is for cozy nights in drinking hot cocoa snuggling up to the fireplace. All that bring said, as a title new Englander I suggest not coming to new England in December. It’s so frigidly cold outside the air hurts your face. We have a hard time finding things to do because it’s cold and it gets dark outside somewhere between 3:30 and 4:30 pm. You’ll find that the snow is only awesome just after it snows. It is beautiful, but it also means shoveling, being stranded at home due to poor traveling conditions, falling on the ice, and salt creeping up the back of your pant leg. Admittedly, I might be slightly biased and bitter right now because it is now April and winter is still reluctant to go away. Today was the first day that it Has been above 55 degrees since autumn.

Hannukah does not coincide with Christmas, in fact this year it was over on Dec. 10. And New year’s on January 1 is also not part of the Jewish holidays. So actually at this time of year, even “happy holidays” is not so pertinent. You might think about what you really wish to communicate to them by wishing them a I was once willing to give my life for what this country stood for now i’d give my life to protect my family from what this country has become T shirt. If it is to say “I care about you and now is the season that we express our goodwill and good cheer to others” then say that, and follow it with “and I wish you all the best, only good things, an other year of health and happiness” something like that. After my conversion to Judaism, my Christian friends, who want to send me greetings at this time of year, usually find a non-religious or all inclusive religious card about peace or something like that. With my family of origin who are more or less Christian (and very accepting and knowledgeable about my conversion and Judaism) if I talk with them at this time of year, they will often reflexively wish me a Merry Christmas. I know it is reflex and doesn’t mean anything, yet it still makes me uncomfortable.
